Well, its finally over...

I've been talkin about it ever since i picked up my Si over a year ago...but all the bodywork is done and its painted. I sent it in tues, and suprising it was done this past friday. The new black of choice was Honda's Nighthawk black pearl. Its freakin awsome cuz when you look real close or the sun hits it you can see a hint of blue thats in the paint, add to that my new red H badges and i picked up another 4g Si logo from the dealer, yea the red on black with that hint of blue now and then is really something to look at and make you smile

Only downside was that some of the body work we did can still be seen (the waves or dips in the body) but it wasn't the huge peices of metal we welded on, most of those parts still look ok. It was almost any small dent we tried to fill lol, ah well its a race car not a show car . Also when the painted it they somehow moved my windshield wiper squirters (they shoot way to high right now) and the rubber ring around the rear hatch keyhole is gone, eh i can fix them both no big deal. And last thing...on its second day of being back, while the car was in the sun all day at my work, a bird pooped on the hood...yes i said poop...and i didn't come off great, eh more stuff i'll play with tommrow. Overall i like it alot (much better than rust with dull pitted black paint and primer).

Yea...you want pics don't you? You all know what it looked like before...well...i'm workin on them keep your pants on One last note...it was painted at a Maccos, just like the last car. You laugh, but it looks damn good, it all depends on what paint package you get when your there...and i got a damn good one this time around, better than what my old DX had and its paint is still holding on. No bodyshops do paint around here they are bitches about it, so maccos pulled though this time...But man there was this old accord there, thing had paint runs everywhere lol. Eh thats another story...just wanted to share!

i bet you have a new respect for bondo hogs and the work they do it's gets so frustrating. next time try feeling for the waves, more than looking. sounds strange but, your fingers will feel things your eyes don't see.
